Chaos and Outrage After the Death of a Young Motorcyclist in Bucaramanga

July 6, 2023 On a Thursday morning in Bucaramanga, chaos and unrest erupted following the tragic death of 21-year-old Daniel Felipe Ibáñez Martínez, who was involved in a traffic operation. The devastating incident occurred around 7:30 AM as Daniel was riding his blue motorcycle on the exclusive Metrolínea lane, designated for public transport between Bucaramanga and Floridablanca. At the Diamante II neighborhood, he encountered a control operation led by the Bucaramanga Traffic Department to enforce the exclusive lane.
